OZOMATLI, CECIL MARTIN ENDORSE BOYCOTT!... Ozomatli, the "Afro-Latin-and-beyond style mashing band" from Los Angeles, has formally endorsed the Taco Bell boycott. The groundbreaking band -- which has never been shy about its commitment to social justice and progressive politics -- has featured the boycott and the CIW's struggle on its website in the past, but this week Ozomatli took the formal step to join the growing list of artists (including Tom Morello, the Indigo Girls, and Chumbawamba) who have taken a stand for humane working conditions in the fields.

Ozomatli is joined this week by our first endorsement by a professional athlete! Cecil Martin (left), former fullback for the Philadelphia Eagles, Oakland Raiders, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, met with members of the CIW at a symposium in Puerto Rico and threw his (considerable... 6-0, 235) weight behind the Taco Bell boycott.
