Friday, March 4th, 10am - 6pm
Day-long pickets at Publix stores in Tampa and St. Pete

Since Publix refuses to come to the table and dialogue with farmworkers, we will take our message of fair wages and dignity for farmworkers to their front doors!

In the lead-up to the major action on Saturday, farmworkers and their allies will join together for day-long pickets and plantónes at four of the busiest Publix stores in Tampa and St. Pete. The plantón is a common tool of nonviolent protest used across the Americas. Our plantónes will symbolize farmworkers' long overdue wait for recognition and respect from Publix.

Farmworkers from Immokalee, their families and allies from across the Tampa Bay area and beyond will be present at the following four Publix stores from 10:00am to 6:00pm on Friday, March 4th. Please consider joining us for part of the day, all day, on your lunch hour or after work. Activities will include holding banners and art, handing out educational flyers, street theater, live music, and other fun activities to help pass the time!
