Wendy’s Picket for Farmworker Justice in the Big Apple!

Next week, the CIW is headed to NYC to accept the Franklin D. and Eleanor Roosevelt Institute’s 2013 Four Freedoms Medal. As the CIW accepts this award, let’s remind Wendy’s — the last of the five largest fast food corporations in the country not participating in the Fair Food Program — that the time is now to join this proven solution to farmworker abuse in Florida’s fields. This year’s Food Sovereignty Prize winners from around the globe will be joining the demonstration, including activists from Basque country, Haiti, India and Mali, as well as members of the US Food Sovereignty Alliance!
