Farmworkers and students got together again to protest at Taco Bell, this time in St. Petersburg near the Eckerd College campus in Southwest Florida, and this time with a loud and strong contingent of community members from throughout the Tampa Bay area. The Sunday, Feb. 18, action was the next step in a month of protests at university Taco Bell restaurants, continuing the CIW's "Taco Bell Truth Tour".

University of South Florida and Eckerd College students joined with delegations of students from New College and the University of Florida in calling on Taco Bell to meet with CIW representatives and take substantive action to improve wages and working conditions for the farmworkers who pick their tomatoes.

Student support is snowballing, and the message grows stronger by the week: Yo no quiero Taco Bell!
