Description
Beginning the day with an educational event, CIW members will discuss the realities of modern-day slavery in Florida’s fields, their internationally recognized work to end it, and its connection to the fast food industry. At noon there will be a festive march, followed by picketing outside of a local McDonald’s. Upon returning to campus, the community will have the opportunity for extended discussion with CIW over lunch.

Description
Madison allies will host a full day of awareness-building and confronting McDonald’s efforts to sidestep their responsibility for ensuring real rights for farmworkers. Events will include classroom presentations at the Univ. of Wisconsin, a march to a McDonald’s restaurant near campus, an interactive workshop with UW students and an evening dinner presentation at the Packer Community Learning Center. And to cap off the day, the CIW and their community allies will pay a night-time visit to another McDonald's..

Description
CIW members will raise awareness about the human rights crisis in Florida’s tomato fields and how McDonald’s contributes to it. Following the presentation, there will be a lively protest at a local McDonald’s.
